The Mighty Hurricane

Puerto Rico and the Mighty Hurricane tells the story of a young girl's personal experience with Hurricane Maria. She worries about her grandparents, Lito and Lita, who live near the El Yunque rainforest. After the hurricane, she visits them and is saddened by the forest's damaged state. Her grandparents assure her the forest will recover because it is resilient.

Jones UI collaborated with The Learning Partnership to transform their new book into an interactive, HTML5 Canvas flipbook. Developed using Adobe Animate, this engaging digital version includes voice-acted audio for all text. To appeal to a broad, multicultural readership, every page features both Spanish and English content.
